IUB has well-stocked course oriented central library with electronic communication backup. It is gradually building up shelves of general reading and references. Apart from the central stock, there are seminars and departmental libraries in different schools providing easier access to students and reach facilities open to students with valid ID cards. The library also issues it own access cards to current students agonists their IDs, alumni, faculty members & stuff. IUB has one of the richest libraries among the all other private universities.

As usual IUB always celebrates every cultural event with the rightful flavor needed to make it special. This year’ Pohela Boishak celebrations kicked off very early in the morning with a colorful rally organized by the Art Club and headed by Nazir sir. The rally started from the Media and Communication department and ended near Campus one (C1).At C1, Division of Student Affairs(DOSA) arranged a day long cultural program, where students sang songs and danced welcoming 1416 among their midst. Apart from the songs and dances, students also set stalls where they sold different types of sherbet and other little trinkets. The fun thing about this celebration is that students and faculty members of IUB brave the hot sun and set out to enjoy the first day of the New Year to the fullest. Shubho Naba Barsho everyone!

Hello every one I am kasfi, I have spent at least five years of my life completing a double major in Independent University, Bangladesh or IUB. IUB has been a good experience for me, because I have made good friends. Not to mention the teachers are very good too. IUB has provided us with fun courses like LFE, graphic communication and so on. Occasionally IUB became very frustrating because of some of its weird bureaucratic red tape and it requires an effort on the part of the student to untangle. But still due to the friendly environment, and other good facilities that IUB provided me with, it’s overall a life changing experience.

LFE which stands for live in field experience but in case of me or should I say for every student it means laughter fun & excitement. In LFE I have spent one of the best 10 days of my life. It was like a new experience to me. 80 people used do every thing in same pattern. I have learned a lot about the rural life of Bangladesh from the LFE course. Most important thing I have learned is how to work in a group and how to maintain a group. That will help me to build up my managing power. Teachers also helped us a lot & they became friendly with us and share their fun with us. At the end I want to say that LFE is a unique course of IUB, which makes IUB different then other universities.
